We know what recovering is like. With a Peer Recovery Coach, you will have someone with you every step of the way during your recovery.
Because everyone is different, it’s our job to help you develop a recovery plan so you can be successful. Using your strengths, needs, and recovery goals your plan will be personally tailored to you.
Recovery is an ongoing process, so we help find the services to support your ongoing recovery needs.
From recovery groups, social groups, sobriety meetings, therapy, referrals to mental health specialists, recovery aftercare, holistic groups, and recovery retreats, you’ll have the resources you need to keep your recovery on track. We can also offer transportation to and from meetings that support your recovery. Our Peer Recovery Coaching program is meant to help you get more out of your current therapy and live a full and successful life.
We believe that recovery comes from supporting all the areas of your life.
When you’re struggling, it’s difficult to maintain steady employment. But having a job is important to the recovery process. It ensures you have a place to live, money for food, and even health insurance.
Being in recovery doesn’t prevent you from having a job, but it can make it more difficult to find one. That’s where we can help.
We will walk you through the process of getting a job. We can help you with creating a resume, completing the job application, and turning it in.
Mock interviews will help prepare you for the questions that will be asked in a real job interview so you can go in there prepared. Making a good first impression at an interview is important, so we’ll make sure you have the right clothes for the job, and even arrange a ride to the interview.
If you’re having difficulty finding a job due to a criminal record, we can help you overcome that as well. We collaborate with various companies and Second Chance or Felony Friendly Employers that are willing to give you a fresh start.
Don’t let a lack of skills prevent you from the job you want. We can assist you with job training so you can apply with confidence.
We can also help you gain access to free educational programs and services and even help you enrol in adult education or a GED program if you never received your high school diploma.
Housing is one of the most basic needs and an essential part of your recovery. If you don’t have stable housing or are at risk of losing your housing, we can help you.
If you need immediate help with your housing, we can place you in a day shelter until permanent housing is found.
We will make sure you have sufficient meals while staying at the shelter, and if the shelter does not allow you to stay during the day, we will pick you up and drive you to other lunch-serving locations.
If you are in danger of losing your home or apartment, we can negotiate with your current landlord and get you in touch with a social services agency, resource center, housing authority, or safe house to help you secure the funds you need to keep your home or apartment.
We all have places we need to go. Whether it’s to and from work, the grocery store, the doctor's office, or the pharmacy, access to transportation is necessary.
But when you don’t have access to transportation, those everyday tasks can seem overwhelming.
Our team can connect you with carpool services or work with a public transportation agency to get you a bus pass.
If you’re struggling with food insecurity, we can help. There are numerous resources available to help you: food banks, gift cards, and food cards. If you need help applying for SNAP or other government nutrition services, we can help you with that as well.
Let us get you in touch with a local food bank or a vendor that provides hot meals.
Securing housing is a huge accomplishment! And when you do, you’ll need some furniture and household items.
We have contacts with several charitable organizations and thrift shops and can set up appointments with them so you can get the furniture and household items you need for your new place.
Your coach can transport you to and from a laundromat, and if you need personal hygiene items, they can take you to the store to get them.
If you need to take a shower, there are recreation centers open for public use, and your coach can take you there so you can shower in a place where you will not be judged, shamed or reprimanded by staff or others using the facility.
One setback that can seem overwhelming is not having the appropriate legal documents needed for housing, buying a car, or getting a job.
If these essential documents are missing, we can help you. We know which agencies you’ll need to work with, and the procedures involved to get your documents replaced.
Many people need legal services but don’t know where to start or how to pay for them. Our team can help you locate legal services or pro bono attorneys in your area that can assist you with social security or disability benefits, legal matters regarding your family, or anything in between. With access to thousands of attorneys across the state of Colorado, we can get you in touch with the legal resources you need.
